Making memories

Apples for Jam by Tessa Kiros is one of my all time favourite books.  It is a beautiful collection of family recipes interspersed with childhood and family memories and photographs.

Food has always been a hugely important part of our family life and I have been looking for a way to record our family recipes and associated memories both for myself and to one day pass down to my daughter.

Today I found this and it is perfect.

I had been idly considering how I could make something like this but paper craft is not really my thing.  I love the way the book is thought out with space for recipes and their associate memories and photos. The other pages have questions such as "tell me how you learned to cook", "tell me about your favourite meal" and "what are your favourite restaurants" which I will tweak a bit so we have me and my husband's childhood memories as well as our shared family memories.

Our very own  Apples for Jam.
