Happiness Photo #1

I'm introducing a new weekly feature.   Every Monday I'm planning to post a photo that makes me happy with a few words as to why it makes me happy.  I thought it would be a fun way to kick off the week on a positive note and to explore what it is about an image that really speaks to the heart.  Sometimes I'll post my own photos, sometimes maybe an image from somewhere else; whatever has jumped out at me that week.

So, without further ado, here is happiness photo #1

Here is the Moo, barefoot in the sandpit (despite being in a coat - hey, if you've got to play, you've got to play...), balancing on the edge, lost in her own little world, humming a tune with her mittens dangling by her side.  I LOVE those mittens.  Mittens on elastic absolutely sum up winter childhood for me.  They spend a lot of time being slightly damp and grubby, dangling where they shouldn't, and I'm not sure how often they get worn but I will be buying coats with mittens for her for as long as I can get away with it!

Do you have a photo that makes you happy?  If so, I'd love to see it.  Leave a link in the comments if you fancy spreading some happy. :)

Have a great week.

  1. Sweet - I love to watch children playing. There is so much innocence and serenity in their own little world, everything from outside looks insignificant.
Very nice idea indeed to start the week with a happy photo!

Mine would be the first one of this post:

Happy Monday! Your Moo is a wonderfully bright colorful spark against that brick and sand! Oh, the joys of barefoot sand walking.
