Photo-Heart Connection - May

Now we are six by AA Milne

When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.

Believe me when I say, that would be fine with me. :)

  1. I'm guessing your daughter is six?! I love that poem my A.A. Milne and still have my childhood book which I seem to have decorated with wax crayons!

  6. Ah, Winnie the Pooh and AA Milne, two of my favs! I love this photo. Captures the innocence of being 6 and the comfort of a silly old bear (with a blanky, maybe?) perfectly!

  8. You managed to capture so much of childhood in this one photo Becs! The cute innocence of it, the mixture of growing limbs and cuddly friends. The results of exploration in that skinned knee. Beautiful poem and image for the Photo-Heart Connection.

  9. I loved looking at this photo. Without ever seeing the child's face you knew so much about her. My grandson just turned six, a magical age. This was a perfect photo-heart connection.

  15. This is so incredibly dear. I love the poem you've paired with it. The crop is delightful and I couldn't help but notice the little scrape on the knee saying this girl has a bit of spunk and well as her sweet pink demeanor.
