52 Intentional Photos - Week 1

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower
Albert Camus

The thing that has really struck me this week is that autumn is truly here.  The fall is underway and my garden is covered in a thick layer of leaves.  Yesterday the Moo and I kicked through piles of crunchy brown horse chestnut leaves (oh that I had had my camera with me then!) and enjoyed the unmistakable smell of autumn.  Today we are experiencing some periods of rain but there are moments when the sun breaks through, lower in the sky and with less warmth, bathing the leaf fall in glorious light.

Autumn, you are so changeable and really rather beautiful.

  6. What a great quote - I like the idea of thinking of the brightly colored leaves as autumn's flowers. You have captured so well that golden beauty. Lovely bokeh.
