Five Fact Friday

I seem to have a lots of thoughts and ideas swirling round my head at the minute.  Unformed and slightly chaotic thoughts and ideas, I might add.  But here's a list of five things that are inspiring me at the minute:

Photographically Speaking by David duChemin
This book, along with Kat's workshop, has really set me on the path of intent.

Spirits of Joy by Hannah Marcotti
Thanks to Hannah's ecourse I have found an alternative to struggling with art journaling - the vision journal.  So much more manageable and it makes so much more sense to my brain! Hannah's ecourse sends you a daily prompt as a jumping off point and I've found it really helpful in creating a picture of where I am today through pictures, quotes, a bit of writing, colours etc.  Slightly unformed and slightly chaotic still - see above - but as I create my vision journal it in turn generates so much more inspiration.....and slowly, slowly a bit of clarity.  Loving it.

The Witches by Roald Dahl
The Moo and I are reading this together (in preparation for Halloween).  I love Roald Dahl, his imagination and his fabulous use of language.  We are both hooked.

Habit
Love this blog with daily photos from three different women.  All telling a story so beautifully.  This was a major inspiration for my 52 intentional photos project.

The South Beach Diet
Sad but true.  It's really helping with the healthy eating I keep procrastinating about and which I am keen does not remain part of the slightly chaotic.

What about you, what's inspiring you at the minute?

  4. Sounds like the photo book and e-course have been a real inspiration. I love Roald Dahl but haven't read the Witches . . .

Inspiration feels like it's been lacking in my parts recently but I'm hoping to find it soon.

    Have a great weekend.

  6. Yes, "Photographically Speaking" was a major inspiration for me - as have been all of duChemin's books. Thanks for all your other links.

My husband and I are trying a modified version of the Atkins Diet - which came from reading "Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes. Giving up sugar has been easier than I imagined but I'm still struggling with the concepts which go against EVERYTHING you think you know about nutrition and eating.
