Photo Art Friday

Trying something new today....I have long been admiring Bonnie's site Pixel Photo Dust Art and her textures and today I am finally joining in with her photo art Friday.

The (optional) theme for this week is derelict.  These are a few derelict buildings shot on my photowalk with Kat a couple of weeks ago and processed with Bonnie's textures quartz and age it.

Click on the link for more texture art inspiration.

Happy Friday. :)

  1. This strong looking building has been enriched by both your textures and that plant which has managed to grow there. Great perspective too!

  3. This is a great shot - there's something very photogenic about dereliction and decay isn't there? And this treatment really suits it. I also like the angle and the dabs of blue that seem to draw the eye. I've never been one for applying textures to my photos - it just isn't me! - but I love seeing what other people do and how well they work out.

  11. Nice work. It;s a shame to see neat old buildings like this fall to ruin.

  12. I like this Becs. I like the fading and the decay...and the different bricks together. There is a warmth to this -- though it's decay it still speaks of what was and the warmth that it held.

  19. I too am drawn to derelict buildings. I'm fascinated by the power of nature. It's amazing how those vines? shrubs? saplings? have rooted and thrived in the crevice between the buildings. I love your processing on this shot.
