Earlier in the year I got the audio version of Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach and one of the non-negotiables was to write down 5 things you were grateful for everyday. Great idea I thought. And for several months I did just that. And then I stopped.
I have come to realise that when all is bouncing along nicely as it should, I find it really easy to make time to count my blessings. But as soon as there is even the tiniest amount of uncertainty, if things feel even a little out of my control, my default setting seems to bypass the good and the many things I have to be grateful for and to focus on the negative. And here I am. Stuck in the negative.
