Texture Tuesday

From where I sit today with my coffee, my book and my new bracelets (love!) I am watching a little blackbird sitting on the fence, chirping.  To me it seems.  I have soothing classical music playing in the background, my pretty pink hyacinths on the sideboard and my scented candle flickering beside me.  I am also trying to figure out exactly why such a straightforward prompt as 'cuppa' caused me to take and retake about a gazillion photos and process almost as many only to delete them all.  Having one of those days I guess.

Hey ho, here it (finally) is.  More coffee, I think.....

  4. Seems to me that sometimes the "easiest" things can be the hardest...because we forget to look at them in all their simplicity. I agree with Leanne...you created a beautiful image no matter how many tries you didn't like. As for the blackbird on the fence chirping to you -- I love that feeling...when you feel so in the moment, so close to nature that you know you are communing with nature on that deeply understood level. xo

  5. Ah!! The final result is beautiful! Love the soft texture you used and your bracelets! I just can't seem to take still lifes. Mine are so flat and uninteresting!!

  6. I love your pink mug peeping in on the right, providing a delicate complementary colour for the green in the bracelets!

  10. Pink and green, a favourite combination of mine. Love your bracelets and the texture combination is lovely too. You may well have started out feeling chaos and calamity all around, but the end result is a beautiful soft focus shot. <3

  12. You describe a lovely moment - the photo is beautiful ~ my eyes focus on the bracelet, the the cup at the distance, and back to the bracelet, and to the book, it's resting on ~ both a tranquil & dynamic picture!

  13. Lovely combination of colors, evoking a quiet and thoughtful mood. And I completely understand those days when nothing satisfies. There are days when I fret and fret about my images - trying this, trying that in post-processing, until finally I just (mentally) say "ENOUGH!" and pick one.
