Edible Therapy

Baking is ......Life. So when you describe what you're making, you must describe life.  Do you see?  It's not just recipes

Texture Tuesday is anything goes...a favourite image, with or without texture.

This is mine, taken from my 365:  Collection of Moments project.

I keep coming back to this image.  I keep wondering why.  It's  not the big, celebratory cake with the fancy decorations that was the end result of all this egg breaking and beating.  It is these broken eggs.  And as I wonder, I realise that these eggs represent all the tiny moments of fun and sharing and laughter and love that went in to creating that one big moment.  I love all those moments, and all those moments play their part in the whole.  The cake was fabulous, but the eggs were pretty special too.

Image processed using Kim Klassen textures charmed and sybil.

  18. Becs - you really shine at capturing small and precious moments like this. I adore this image. The sense of what is to come (the cake) combined with the beauty of stopping, just for a second, to record what came before. I love the subtle reflections on the countertop and your point-of-view. Really, really wonderful.
