Hello Monday

As I sit and type this I have yet another stew in the slow cooker and am looking at a giant pile of hats, coats, scarves, gloves, boots.  So I guess it's an ongoing hello to winter.  Sigh.

In other news, I'm saying:

Hello continued indoor activities - potion making and reading were the order of the day this weekend.

Hello to breaking up for the spring holidays at the end of the week.  Definitely doesn't feel spring like but definitely does feel like time for the holidays. :)

Hello some egg decorating.  I have a bowl of tiny quail's eggs to create with too.

Hello hot cross buns.  YUM!

Hello to cornflake nest making.  Love these so much. {It may be time for a new pan.....}

Hello to seed sowing - inside.  I bought some sweet pea seeds last week - my favourite. :)

Hello to taking care of my new tomato and sweet pepper plants.  Way too cold for them outside.  Brrrrr.

Hello to wildflower seed mix for my problem shaded border.  Really want to get you in.  Come on sunshine.

So you see, I FEEL like spring.   I am READY for spring.  It's just nothing else is co-operating.

Oh well.

Hello week.

What are you up to?

  1. Those cornflake nests are adorable, Becs, and they do look yummy!
I absolutely love the photograph of the ranunculus. One of my very favorite flowers to photograph.

I wish you a wonderful beginning to your week.

  2. Bes - love your hello to pink! If the weather outside won't cooperate, at least you can fill your inside space with lovely pastels. Those cornflake nests are charming. And the differences in coloration on each flower, making each one unique, is so beautiful.

  3. It looks like you're doing your best to be spring-like even if the weather isn't cooperating. Hopefully it will turn warm for you soon.

  4. I think you have a fabulous week planned. When the weather doesn't co-operate it's time to reach in and pull out the ways to make spring happen...I think you've got that covered!
