Hello Monday

It's the last week of summer of colour which I'm so sad about.  I've loved this project.  It has really kick started my creativity and it has been so inspiring to see such amazing art across all media.  Thank you, Kristin, for hosting. :)

This week's combination is sage and sepia...which screamed vintage to me!  Some of my most prized possessions are my vintage books and that sweet little brownie camera is a recent charity shop find.  The open book is Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady.  It's a beautiful reproduction of Edith Holden's nature diary from 1906 and full of words and paintings of British flora and fauna across the seasons.  I can't tell you how much I love this book.  I'm not sure it's in print now, but I really recommend it if you can get your hands on a second hand copy.  There also seems to be a 2014 calendar in the works so maybe it's experiencing a bit of resurgence - I've put it straight on my amazon wishlist. :)

The weather here is gorgeous at the minute.  Sunny and hot.  Hello Monday, it's going to be a great week.

Have a good one. :)

Also linking up with Lisa Leonard.

  3. It's funny that we both used the same phrase "screamed vintage." Great minds, I guess. Your gorgeous digital entry is simply unbelievable. I am still waiting for "digital to happen" in my work (grin). Beautiful use of these SOC colors.
