I am

I am

  • trying to look in to the camera with self-kindness (as taught by the awesome Vivienne Mcmaster)
  • thrilled summer is here and desperate for August when everything slows down
  • full of ideas but unsure where to start
  • days away from being the mother of child who has left infant school
  • wondering where the time has gone
  • thinking how much a new tripod would help me with selfies (amongst other things)

How about you.  Where are you today?

Image and post inspired by and created for Beyond Beyond.

  5. you are...beautiful and it is easy to see that you are claiming that...being able to see and say "I like me; I love me" -- and allow your spirit to shine through. I'm a bit lost these days...you're finding your child ready to leave infant school and I'm finding my "baby" ready to head off and claim his life in your country...he's not just leaving the nest, he's flying the coop!! xo

  8. You are...Beautiful, inside and out. I am...wondering what a woman with the soul of a mermaid is doing living in the desert and what I'm going to do about it. And how. And when. Wondering where the time has gone.

  11. Hi Becs ~ I came here by way of a link in the comment you left on Cheri's blog - thought I'd take a minute and say hello. I love your selfie, and I struggle with those too. My daughter, on the other hand, has been an expert at them since she was a young teenager! She's 25 now, and the time DOES fly!!!

I have a similar post on my blog today, and I use the label "I am" on these types of post as well. Great minds think alike! It was lovely to visit you today! :o)

  16. A tripod definitely helps a lot with selfies, but all the running back and forth is a great work out as well :) Great photo.

  19. To me your photo looks like you are challenging yourself but, simultaneously, you know--deep down--that you can do anything you set your mind to. I'll be watching to see what comes next...

As for me...I'm closer to 62 than 61. On one hand I'm wondering exactly how that happened since I don't (usually) feel a day over 40. On the other hand, I'm celebrating the fact that in just a few months I could (but probably won't) take an early retirement. But it is nice to have options, don't you think?
