On the Edge

On the edge of autumn.
On the edge of rain clouds and grey.
On the edge of new routines.
On the edge of new adventures and more independence for the Moo.
Loving watching her spread her wings but I'm
On the edge of having to let go of her a little bit more.
On the edge of freaking out about that.

So that's me today.

  2. Oh, I can completely understand the process of letting go. Next week, my little girl will be getting married - can't believe it! Lovely image to illustrate that idea of being on the edge of the new.

  3. It's never easy, but somehow, a little at a time, you find a way to let go.
I love the simplicity of this photograph, Becs.
    Have a wonderful week ahead!

  4. It's okay. She needs to spread those wings. In the end it will be good for you too. I promise <3

  5. It's good that the letting go happens a little at a time. And it's so beautiful to watch our children spread their wings & find themselves.

  6. Your photo is a great illustration of your point. As far as growing up is concerned, you and she are moving away from her little girl need for you, but she's going to continue to need you in lots of new ways. And no matter what, you will always be her mother!

  7. You are so honest...on the edge of freaking out -- it's all good but there are times when our heart is in our mouth when we are "on the edge" of anything...and this photograph is a beautiful depiction of "on the edge".
