Nature

poppy

As I sit looking out on my garden, my eye is drawn straight to the pop of red, standing out amongst the lush green.  Here they are,  the second round of buds exploding in full colour, breathtaking in their beauty and fragility.

This is such a funny time of year for me.  We are close, but not quite close enough, to the end of term and the summer holidays.  How I long for the summer holidays!  I feel like I'm in a holding pattern.  Short bursts of productivity punctuating what is otherwise an impatient waiting game.  I am trying to live in the moment, appreciate every second of every day but still....COME ON summer. :)

  3. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. That holding pattern time is so hard, just waiting for everything to start. Hang in there!

  4. What a wondrous burst of saturated color! And it is certainly difficult to be so near the end of one time and almost at the beginning of the summer holidays. Enjoy this waiting time as best you can.
