Stuck

Light pool

Stuck.

I am totally stuck.

I have spent a really long term learning how to use my camera and processing software so that I can create the images I see. And now I can't see the images I want to create.

I haven't picked up my camera for while.

I need to pick up my camera.

I need to go back to basics.

The Artists Way.
Morning pages.
Artist dates.
Picking up my Camera.

 How did this happen?

 Being stuck sucks.

And it's been going on forever.

* photo from the archive.  Cos I'm, you know,  stuck.

  1. You can do it Becs. You are amazingly talented - the hardest part is starting. Maybe Justine will get a Flickr group going, give up something to practice on. I love seeing you back in your space.

  2. So good to see you blogging and to have you visit me! I have been stuck most of the summer. It was more due to the heat than photography. I only kept going because I'd started a 365 this year. Some days it was very difficult!

    1. Hi Cathy, Well done for doing a 365 - it is such a commitment but brilliant that it has kept you going. Sorry you've been stuck too....being stuck really sucks. Looking forward to reconnecting. xx

  4. Hello, Becs, it's so good to see you here again. I understand that stuck feeling. In August, I started writing morning pages again and also began getting some exercise via a fitness class. The two things together seem to be unlocking both my mind (creativity) and my body (energy). I agree with Sarah - you ARE amazingly talented and I love your photography and your writing. I hope to see more of it!

    1. Hi Lee, yes yes to morning pages and getting out and about with the new puppy is doing the trick too. Baby steps. Thank you for your kind words. More writing and photography is definitely the plan! xx
